He saw what Clark did.
I think the world is ready for this kind of Superman movie. I know I am.
Seems like Snyder has a firm grasp on both the humanity and power that Supes represents. And also the potential threat that he could become and why he (in his early days) would be treated with suspicion and even fear.
I've got faith in Henry Cavill to pull it off too.

Star Trek Into Darkness
The trailer gives a good look at the Trek sequel. Apparently a preview for a longer 2 minute trailer which is to come next week. Either way it looks dark. So very dark. And awesome. Probably could have done without the very Avengers-ish shot of the Enterprise rising out of the water though.

I am a Man, made of Steel.
So the teaser trailer for Man of Steel has hit the internet. Whilst it reveals very little, it shows a Clark Kent on a fishing boat and hitchhiking - seeming to avoid using his powers (a lot to read into it I know). The most notable thing about the trailer is the lack of the standard Snyder-isms that the director is well-known for. The colours are muted and the world is gritty, Superman has a beard...
Looks nice, the two different voice overs for the two versions of the trailer is cool (Jor-El and Jonathon Kent). Otherwise we need a bit more to be able to judge with any sense of conviction what the film looks like.

The Lion King Rises
The latest in countless trailer mashups, all with varying degrees of success. This particular attempt works beautifully, with particular effort paid to matching up the small bits of dialogue that there are. My personal favourite is Bane's line matched up with Scar - fantastic! When I first read the story I was quite skeptical that it would work, but clearly it does! It certainly stands as one of the better mashups around at the moment too!

Brave Trailer.
Whilst short and a wonderfully teasing 'teaser trailer', it simply shows us what we've been missing out on the past couple of years - an original Pixar film. Toy Story 3 was great, Cars 2 looks like an absolute joke - but they are still not what Pixar excels at. Creating exciting and interesting characters and stories. The jungles put those feature in The Incredibles to shame very easily in the minute of screen time that they are given. Here's hoping the characters and stories hold up to the long-standing Pixar standard (ignoring Cars & Cars 2 ).

Barbarian.
With so many movies to look forward to I think that the Conan the Barbarian revamp is one of the top few that I'm looking forward to. Jason Momoa swinging a giant sword and throw in Ron Perlman, Stephen Lang and Rose McGowan for good measure. The latest trailer was more than expected in regards to the art direction and scale. It would seem as though this particular adaptation will pay the original material more attention. There must be confidence in the film if they have already begun preparations for a sequel, so far the one downside to the film is the fact that it is 3D. The fact that the majority of the cinema chains such as Hoyts and Event have essentially given up on screening anything in 2D is an issue that irritates me to no end.
Here is the latest trailer;

Hesher is clearly not going to be for everyone. I'll say that upfront.
I think it looks to be another perfect example of the acting talents of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Natalie Portman. JGL looks amazing in fact! The film looks to be quite out-there with the emotional story of the loss of a loved one, coupled with the intense (even frightening) aspect of the unknown.
Official Description;
Hesher is the story of a twenty-something long-haired tattooed metal-head who one day unexpectedly enters the life of a grieving family. Hesher (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is the most unlikely person to help 13-year-old TJ (Devin Brochu) cope with the death of his mother, but he proves to be the only one who can truly free TJ from his overwhelming sadness. The charismatic and dangerous Hesher drags TJ out of loss and confusion by sheer force of will and gives the young boy and his grieving father (Rainn Wilson) a chance to be a family again.

Take Me Home Tonight looks fantastic. I'm moving away from these kind of films, but Topher Grace heading to the 80's with the creator's of That 70s Show seems like a win from over here. In fact it's made me start watching That 70s Show through again. It's that time of year I suppose.
The only potential issue with this film is that it has been held back from release for several year's because the studio wasn't sure how to approach advertising a film which features heavy cocaine use. It being the 80's and all. The film was filmed in 2007. But being a period piece alleviates several concerns, the jokes (like That 70s Show) are sure to be period-related.

The original Back to the Future teaser trailer. As always, alot of love for Michael J Fox but in the past few days the internet has exploded with two separate videos relating to both Fox and BTTF. One is a recreation of the above trailer for the SPIKE SCREAM 2010 awards. The second is EWs reunions edition, which features reunions for Back to the Future, Lord of the Rings, Scream and so on. Videos follow;

Man.
With every trailer, every spot of new footage, this movie looks better and better! And Edgar Wright is yet to fail me yet. Very excited to see how Scott Pilgrim goes.
And finally some footage of Brandon Routh! Rocking hard!

Yeah that's right. You saw what you saw! Space battles in Halo: Reach. I was suprised when this appeared in the Halo: Reach E3 2010 Trailer. Stands to reason that Bungie would pull out something magestic (more so than what had already been announced/released) for their 'final' Halo game. Can't wait.
I will be doing a full E3 post once it's complete.
